School Advisory Council

Access Charter School will organize a School Advisory Council (SAC) that is representative of its community. Recognizing that all parents, guardians, staff members, and students are stakeholders in the school SAC will have a distinct role in the development of the school program. Some of the areas in which SAC may be involved include the following:

  • Curriculum Review
  • Community Participation
  • Networking
  • Fundraising Activities

SAC will include five (5) representatives including the school Director. These representatives will include teachers, parents, and community members. Teachers will be selected to serve on SAC by their peers. Parent representatives may be nominated and voted on during the April/May parent meeting. Anyone may be nominated who is interested and able to commit to the committee. The planning committee will meet bi-monthly and an open meeting will be held each quarter.
